The Clifton Fine Community Fund Awards were made tonight at the CFEDC meeting. Several grants came to Cranberry Lake environs including the Hub. Thanks to ALL the donors who made the Clifton Fine Fund possible and to the Northern New York Community Foundation for their outstanding ongoing support.
The Cranberry Lake North Shore Hub received a grant to purchase a bench for the property lawn; there will ultimately be two as the Dimon family has also donated a bench. Hub visitors will have front row seats to view the Lake.
The Library received two grants for two unique projects: One grant will provide classes for teenagers and young parents on “adulting” (keeping a checkbook, budgeting, cooking, meal planning etc) which will be run by the library director Kate Kosior. The other library grant will sponsor a summer children’s theater program organized by Sally Holden.
The Wanakena Historical Association received a grant to support the displays in the quickly coming to life Wanakena History Center. The Les Allen and Steve Moyer Fund made this grant possible.
The Clifton Fine Municipal Golf Course also received a grant to help finish off the beautiful deck added to the back of the building this summer. Golfers from Cranberry to Fine enjoyed the addition of the deck.
